Tour Overview
The Watersnoodmuseum is located in four caissons, in Ouwerkerk - Zeeland, which were used to close the last breach in the dikes created during the flood disaster of 1953. When you enter the museum, you step into the history of water from '53 to the present day. Find out what the museum tells you about water and the importance of water safety
The Watersnoodmuseum takes you into the lives of ordinary people with a special Story about Water. About the Disaster of '53, about the reconstruction and about the floods that are still happening all over the world. We do this with moving stories, captivating photos (approx. 20,000) and authentic film images.
