The St. George’s Town, was founded in 1612 soon after the 1609 Sea Venture’s wrecked on Bermuda’s reefs. The location is now well known local spot also known as Gate’s Bay or Fort St. Catherine Beach.
The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage Committee; collectively identified The Historic Town of St George’s and related fortifications as a World Heritage Site and Diaspora Trail.
