#3 Peter Dickison
#3 on the BrochureArtist showing at: 103 Fogland Rd, Tiverton, RI 02878Peter DickisonBOTH TOURSOIL PAINTING: Landscape and flower paintings with magical lightart@peterdickison.comhttps://www.peterdickison.com401-787-7451Peter’s paintings resonate with a love of Nature. He seeks that which may not be visible or audible at first glance. Their narrative is about being in a place, an invitation to meditate on our existence in nature. His landscapes are like a quiet reckoning of the forest. They seek its mystery, looking for the beings that inhabit field and forest. The beauty of his paintings of floral blossoms unfolds as a sensuous experience, an understanding of it as a structure and seeing it from the point of view of the bee. The flower speaks to love, and a Dickison painting makes it possible to take that love home to remind us of its miracle.Turn in driveway at white picket fence and pull onto lawn. Please park where indicated.

She started playing with clay 9 years ago and now it is her full time project. Originally hailing from The Pacific Northwest and now residing in Tiverton, RI, Holly tends to incorporate elements of the ocean and mountains into her pottery. What makes her work unique and special is that she has developed many of her own glazes. These glazes reflect the colors and feelings that are evoked in her while being surrounded by the natural splendor of water and land. She knows them both well. Holly circumnavigated the North Atlantic Ocean, with her husband, on their sailboat. She has experienced many sea states from becalmed seas, gales, sunrises and sunsets in the middle of the ocean. She has also hiked into many of the alpine lakes in the Cascade Mountains in her home state of Washington.Holly's pottery pieces are meant to be used and loved freely. They are all oven proof, food, microwave and dishwasher safe. Her goal is for the owner of her pieces to also feel the connection to the ocean and mountains as they are being used.Holly's studio is located at the top of a long driveway. She has 2 gratine posts and a black square mailbox at the bottom of the driveway. Feel free to park at the top of the driveway. Our friendly dog Tilly will probably greet you.

#6 Peter Halpin
#6 on the BrochureArtist Showing at: 1722 Main Rd, Tiverton, RI 02878Peter B HalpinBOTH TOURSPASTEL/WATERCOLOR: Realistic candid pastel portraits to give as giftspbhalpin71@gmail.com207-405-1624Peter Halpin grew up in Connecticut and has enjoyed art for the past 56 years. Self-described as a hobby artist, Pete started out as a Central Connecticut State University college student, where he created a life-size sculpture: a bust of “Christ at Gethsemane” (a centerpiece at the University’s art show). At the time, Pete was studying Industrial Technology; and also separately received a degree in Electrical Engineering…..AND he threw in a few art classes on the side. Professionally, Pete went the "practical route" with years of teaching high school and then at the Defense Department. Art has always been in the background of his life. Most recently, Pete has revived his art interests and has been creating pastels and watercolors (80 percent pastel 20 percent watercolors). While living in Vero Beach, FL, he was fortunate to attend seminars sponsored by the Museum of Art there, which were taught by prominent watercolor artist, Steve Rogers. Pete would say that being a Virgo and a type "A" personality, with a numbers oriented background, he is probably the last person you would pick to be in the art world. As much as he admires, respects, and wishes he was more of an Andy Warhol, Picasso type guy, he has to admit, he steers closer to a Norman Rockwell type portraiture guy.Now retired and living in Tiverton with his wife, he looks forward to giving his artwork his full attention. His home studio is open during the South Coast Artists Tours in July and August.Whatever is being painted (in watercolor or pastel), Mr. Halpin will enjoy showing work-in-progress.Studio is located at 1722 Main Rd, Tiverton RI 02878. We have a small grey house with a long driveway. We are across from Standish Boatyard. If the driveway is full please use a side street -Middle Avenue- located to the left of our driveway.
