Our restaurant has a fabulous waterfront view, boat access, and is moments away from the beaches. In addition to our main dining rooms and bar area, during the summer weekends we also have an outdoor bar, raw bar & grille on the docks.
Our mission is to promote eating locally produced product. We feel fortunate to be located at the center of so many food traditions. This area enjoys a rich heritage of working people growing, raising, & catching food, as well as preparing it with a mix of culinary traditions.
The ultra fresh produce from the many farms of Southeastern Massachusetts & Coastal Rhode Island; the wide variety of fish brought to shore by New England’s Fisherman; wine, beer, & cheese from local artisan producers & the mixture of Portuguese influence with the oldest American cooking style, provides our kitchen with an incredibly diverse range to work with.
We are excited to help our community sustain growth by providing our local farmers & fisherman a place to showcase their talents.
With our concept of thinking coastal & eating local we can provide you, our guests, with the freshest food in the area. Hence our name and why it is so important to us.

Our restaurant has always been a place of family. Four generations have touched The Bayside. Bob and Nance's children - Bobby, Matt, Alicia and Cat all grew up with The Bayside as a part of their family's fabric. Memories of cooking with Grandma and Grandpa Barton. Baking fresh pies with Grandma Lewis and Aunt May influenced Cat, the delicious foods and desserts that she continues to introduce and produce to this day at The Bayside. The Carroll's created a place that welcome locals and visitors alike. A place to go and share a story or two while enjoying food with a great view. Located steps from Nanaquaket Pond you can enjoy the sunshine during the day or catch the Sakonnet Sunset in the evening. Boaters welcome! Our dock is available so come on over. The Sail Loft

Way back in 1975, the Sail Loft lit the fire for Steve Silverstein, who went on to open nearly 40 restaurants. Located in the quintessential seaside village of Padanaram, it was the neighborhood place where you could get a good (strong) drink, chef prepared comfort food and relax in a convivial atmosphere with familiar faces. The Sail Loft was everyone’s favorite place; it was a hangout where some came for food and others for drink.
When the Sail Loft became available in 2021, Steve jumped on the opportunity to take the wheel. Steve and his wife Judy transformed the Sail Loft into an elevated neighborhood restaurant with a distinct updated boatyard feel. The spot is nautical with a chef-driven yet approachable menu, a deep selection of spirts and an intriguing wine list. As with all of Silverstein’s places, while the food, drink and design are always top-notch, it is the warm hospitality that keeps ‘em coming back.
