Tour Overview
Botanical hike in the Marin Municipal Water District, in a watershed near Mount Tamalpais. Park your vehicle on the Bolinas-Fairfax road and hike along Pine Mountain Road to Oat Hill Road to the Carson Falls Trail. The hike is about 3.4 miles, round trip. In order to make the hike a loop, you can return via the Old Sled trail to the Bolinas-Fairfax Road and walk up to your vehicle. You can also ride a bike to Oat Hill Road, but the final segment to Carson Falls is for hikers only. Total trip is 3–4 hours at a botanical pace. Bring plenty of water on hot days.
