Our Guiding Principles
The Depth and Breadth of God: We believe that there is more to God than we can begin to imagine and that as our individual and collective worlds change, our experience and understanding of God can continually broaden and expand.

Exploring the Meaning of Life: We believe it is important to search for answers to difficult life questions: Why am I here? Where did I come from? Is there a God? What is my purpose? What gives life meaning? Why do bad things happen to good people? What is the secret to happiness? What happens when I die?

Discovering God is a Lifelong Journey: Discovering God is a lifelong journey, requiring active participation in spiritual practices that open our eyes, ears, hearts, and minds to a deeper understanding of self and a closer intimacy with our Creator God. We are committed to being a place of wonder, awe, and curiosity about faith, life, and the world.

Spiritual Practices: We are committed to offering both individual and collective spiritual practice experiences that support travelers in various stages of their faith journey, including worship, prayer, study, dialogue, shared meals, exercise, service, and play.

Relationships and Community: We are committed to welcoming all people into Christian Community with open minds, open hearts, and open doors. We travel together searching for meaning and looking for ways to make a difference in our local community and the world.

Walking the Talk: We are committed to operating in a way that mirrors the loving example Jesus lives for us. We are also committed to helping each other have hope for the future and believe in the power and possibilities of who we can be.

Faith in Action: We are committed to taking action, both individually and collectively, to make a difference locally and globally. God gave each of us special gifts. We are called to use those gifts to do God's work.

Our United Methodist Tradition: We are committed to discovering what God has called The United Methodist Church to be in the 21st century. The Wesleyan tradition calls us to be unbound, outbound, and active, to teach, heal, feed the hungry, speak out about injustices, and call the world to more faithful living.

What does it mean to be an “independent” Lutheran church?

Christ the King Lutheran Church is independent in the sense that it is not a member of a Lutheran synod. Being independent provides the opportunity for us to be very intentional about our Lutheran identity. We seek to be faithful in mission and ministry in accordance with the Lutheran Confessions.

We are independent but not isolated. We have partners in mission and ministry both in the United States and abroad.

Fourth Street Evangelical Church is an independent Christian congregation in Waseca, Minnesota. It was re-founded in 2021 from a church that first began in 1961. Real Life Covenant Church (RLCC) was established in 2009 to be real people striving to be like Jesus in real life. As we gathered we learned through research done by American Church in Crisis that 80% of people are not in church on any given Sunday. Through a research tool called MissionInsite provided by the Northwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church we learned that number was nearer to 82% for the people of Waseca. That’s 7,500 people in Waseca not in a church on Sunday.

We believe, teach, and confess the Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe, teach, and confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and the gospel as the power of God for the salvation of all who believe in him.

• Jesus Christ is the Word of God incarnate, through whom everything was made and through whose life, death, and resurrection God fashions a new creation.
• The proclamation of God's message to us as both law and gospel is the Word of God, revealing judgment and mercy in the person and work of Jesus Christ through whom God was pleased to reconcile all things to himself.
• The canonical Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God. Inspired by God's Spirit speaking through their authors, they record and announce God's revelation centering in Jesus Christ. Through them God's Spirit speaks to us to create and sustain Christian faith and fellowship for service in the world.

We believe, teach, and accept the canonical Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as the inspired Word of God and the sole authoritative source and norm of our proclamation, faith, and life.

At Vista Covenant Church we value the family and we believe church should be a place for people of all ages. Every Sunday we provide children's ministries alongside our regular services, which provides a age-appropriate environment for kids to encounter Christ.

Leadership
Vista Covenant Church is guided by a leadership team who provide overall direction and watch over the spiritual needs of the church. Our pastor provides sound, practical, biblical teaching at each worship service. He has received theological and pastoral training and are equipped to share God's love with our local community.
In addition to our Pastor, our Church Council (made up of seven elected members of our Church) seek God's council in providing direction to the ministries at Vista.
Vista Covenant Church is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will.

Vista Lutheran Church is a historic church in Otisco Township, Minnesota, United States, built in 1908. The Gothic Revival building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 for having local significance in the themes of religion and European heritage. It was nominated for being the best preserved structure symbolizing Waseca County's principal Swedish American settlement.
