The Human Side of the 17 SDGs

As we adapt our strategies and explore innovative solutions to accelerate progress towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this interactive storytelling exhibition, “Portraits of Progress: The Human Side of the 17 SDGs” is designed to underscore the need to invest more deeply in women change makers who are key to solving the world’s greatest challenges.

This exhibit features portraits of 17 change makers from around the world who are driving solutions to advance the 17 SDGs. Each woman profiled is bringing forth groundbreaking solutions and tackling one of the 17 goals. Throughout this exhibit you will find her portrait, brief bio and a QR Code that you can scan with your mobile device to hear her story in her own words.

Our aim with this project is to spotlight the critical role of women leaders worldwide in achieving all the SDGs – not just Goal 5, which is gender equality. Women are true “solutionaries,” bringing forth unthought-of strategies to address our greatest challenges – from poverty to climate – often because they are the ones disproportionately impacted.
