Tour Overview
Passau - Linz, Danube's Epigenetic Breakthrough Valley:
The Bavarian Danube between Regensburg and Passau, flows parallel to the Bavarian Forest, part of the Bohemian Massif, Central Europe's oldest mountain range. At Passau were the Danube is joined by the Rivers Inn and Ilz, it broke through this mountain range and the foothills of the Alps, thus created a spectacular gorge landscape with its highlight the horseshoe bend, Schlögener Schlinge.
Enjoy gorgeous natural riverine landscapes, a couple of massive weirs and locks, as well as quaint villages and castles.
