- Medieval Era: Notting Hill is primarily wasteland.
- Georgian Era: Puerto Bello, a Spanish fortress, is captured in the Gulf of Mexico by the British. The Portobello Market begins operating.
- Victorian Era:Notting Hill begins as a residential area. A racetrack (the Hippodrome) is constructed around Notting Hill. The railroad connects this area in 1864, stimulating migration from Greater London.
- Modern Era:Begins as slum area, especially after World War II. Notting Hill Riots (1958). Notting Hill Carnival initiated. The area becomes a prime area to settle. Price of real estate skyrockets.
