Hi, I’m Sarah Neal. I’m a local, a guide and a photographer at Grand Canyon National Park. Come along with me on a 21 mile round trip bike ride along the Hermit Road. Together we’ll explore the quiet rim side roads and paths and along the way we’ll look for wildlife like California condors tarantulas and elk… we’ll peruse historic buildings and landmarks, stop for river views and take time to see the most scenic and photogenic places along the way! This tour is an immersive experience featuring music and sound and images to look at while you’re stopped! During this tour we’ll talk about some of the legendary people who shaped the park and their colorful history and contributions, we’ll celebrate Native American folklore and culture, touch on creation stories and even go on an imaginary flight in a time capsule back billions of years to see the Canyon’s geological formation according to science. The tour ends at Hermit’s rest 13 miles from the shop, and there you can purchase snacks and souvenirs and be refreshed for your ride home. This incredible adventure is a big one… and we recommend renting e-bikes if possible. Pack snacks or lunch… there are literally the most amazingly situated picnic tables on earth along this route! The tour is GPS triggered and will automatically speak to you throughout the course of your journey, so you can go at your own pace… or even turn around early and head back if you prefer to. So, grab a bike and let’s ride the rim together!
