Tour Overview
The Fairy Pools is one of Skye's most popular destinations. We'll guide you through the landscape and amazing history of this jewel of Scotland.
- The Faerie Pools walk begins from the car park found here - IV47 8TA. Much of your journey to the Faerie Pools follows a single track road. Pull into passing spaces and let cars behind you pass and you’ll have no problems.
- Nearby - Talisker Distillery in Carbost and Glenbrittle Beach.
- Bring suitable footwear, warm clothes, towels and food. You can swim in the pools, just remember, it’s cold!
- Many visitors walk up the river and back the way they came, however there is a longer trail loop route taking about 3.5 hours which brings you back to the car park.
- There are some fantastic viewpoints to enjoy along this route including waterfalls, pools and underwater arches.
- A good visit to the Faerie pools will take 2 - 4 hours.
- The trail follows a rocky path with large steps and uneven ground.
