Great Victoria Desert Landscape
The terrain is typical of this vast bio-region, with spinifex-covered plains, mulga woodlands, and scattered spindly grevilleas. Occasionally, a feature tree will break the horizon, adding interest to the endless landscape.
Watch for Aircraft
Just east of Tjukayirla Roadhouse, keep an eye out—this part of the Outback Way doubles as a registered airstrip. The Royal Flying Doctor Service may use this section of the road during medical emergencies, so watch for low-flying aircraft.
