Dark Stry || Self Guided Walking Tours

Dark Stry is the clever way to experience places with our curated self-guided tours that allow you to explore like a local

HOW IT WORKS
Your virtual tour guide, an audio narrator, pops up automatically as you walk or drive.
But, Dark Stry is much more than just an audio tour.
As you get close to points of interest, your smartphone provides historical and cultural storytelling, blending the past, present and future.
You can choose to visit all points of interest, change the order, or complete our tours over multiple days – as many times as you want!
Unlike a fully guided tour, you decide when and how long to stay at each stop.

> Short on time? We show you the best things to see & do in each location
> Hungry? We show to the best places to eat
> Thirsty? Try our recommended bars and cafes
> Got historical overload? We hold space for you to listen to your own music and connect with your crew.

WHAT’S INCLUDED
Each of our augmented reality tours includes:
- Audio commentary
- Navigation
- Past and present photos and videos
- Immersive experiences
- Linger longer hospitality recommendations

Driving tours also show you the closest fuel, toilets and places to eat at any time on your adventure and recommended places to stay.

GOOD TO KNOW
- Works offline using GPS – no wifi or mobile internet required once travelling

- All walking tours can be accessed by public transport

- It’s pronounced Dark Story! Dark because we like shining a light on forgotten places and people, and stry, because we’re telling stories like no other.

WHY DARK STRY
We love Western Australia! Our region has many hidden gems that you won’t find about reading online – we’re done the legwork so that you don’t have to.

We’ve already:
- scouted for the most scenic route.
- visited every point of interest.
- eaten at every one of our hospitality recommendations.
- scoured the history books – and connected with the local historians.
- raided the historical archives
And… we tested and re-test every tour.

We are a recognised Quality Tourism Accredited Business and are members of regional tourism advocacy groups.
