Tour Overview
Throughout the City of Miami Beach, there exists a myriad of dedications, designations, and tributes to a number of iconic figures that have made significant contributions to the cultural landscape of this destination.
In some cases, sections of Miami Beach streets have been dedicated and renamed for notable visionaries, activists, artists, entertainers, and sports legends. These men and women have impacted the City in some way or spent time in Miami Beach either before, during, or after they became famous.
In other cases, these memorials have been created as remembrances to individuals whose contributions celebrate some important aspects of the cultural identity of a community within the City’s population.
This tour calls attention to some of these individuals that the City of Miami Beach has seen fit to recognize. We hope you will enjoy learning a bit more about them and come to understand how their efforts have made this community the iconic destination it is today.
