The house of the President Dr. Chaim Weizmann, and his wife Dr. Vera Weizmann, was designed in 1935 by the architect Erich Mendelsohn.
Dr. Weizmann chose to build his house next to the Sieff Institute, the institute for scientific research he established in 1934, that later became the Weizmann Institute of Science.
