Stop 1: Fountain

This fountain is a central point from which you can begin to explore the Edison and Ford Winter Estates. To reach it, cross McGregor Boulevard using the crosswalk. Look for green sign with a light bulb and the number "1" on it.To view all of the images in the gallery below, swipe to the right.

Stop 2: Pier

Next, travel to the Swimming Pool (to your right when facing the pier).

Next, travel to the Edison Caretaker's House (to your right and back toward McGregor Boulevard, if facing the pool).

Next, travel back toward the river, then to the left, to find Edison's Study.

Next, travel to the lovely garden behind the study.

Next, travel along the main pathway beyond the fountain to the first two story, red-roofed structure on the left.

Next, step onto the porch of the home and find the library.

Next, cross the breezeway to find the master bedroom.

Next, travel around the house toward McGregor Boulevard.

Stop 10: Viewing Orchid Lane

Next, travel toward the white pergola and look into the last set of windows in the Edison Main House.

Next, travel under the white pergola to the Edison Guest House.

Next, travel around the porch to the adjoining Dining Room.

Next, travel to the breezeway to view the kitchen wing.

Next, we will travel to the Ford property. Walk left along the main pathway toward the garage.

Next, travel to the two-story gray house across the pathway.

Next, travel onto the center portion of the porch to view the living room.

Next, travel around the house to the side of the porch facing McGregor Boulevard.

Next, travel to the end of the pathway to the small, one-story gray structure.

Next, look at the small structure behind you. Can you make out the outline of a garage door on it?

Stop 20: Ford Caretaker's House

Please step inside the Ford Cottage Shoppe for a refreshing break.When you are ready to continue your tour, travel back across McGregor Boulevard to the statue of Mina Edison next to the banyan tree and entrance to the ticket office.

Stop 23: Banyan Tree and Surrounding Landscape

Next, travel toward the Museum Store, and then to the right to visit the concrete vault just outside of the Laboratory.

Next, travel to your left to enter the Laboratory from the opposite side.
