Tour Overview
Hopelands Gardens is the walled estate containing the grounds of the former Hopelands Mansion (Winter Colony residence of the Iselin family.) Radiating throughout the gardens is a network of paths shaded under 100 year old live oaks. It is believed that Mrs. Iselin planted the deodar cedars and live oaks which still grace Hopelands Gardens today. Our circular tour meanders around lazy curves of the paths and garden borders, leading visitors through a wonderful diversity of trees, along with fountains, a reflection pool, rock fountain and other amenities. These gardens also house the Thoroughbred Racing Hall of Fame. When entering the map, you can click the diagonal arrow icon in the upper right corner to highlight your location in relation to the various trees.
Parking: There is a free parking lot directly adjacent to the gardens, at 135 Dupree Place.
Hours of operation: 10am to Sunset
