About The Lincoln County HS
Welcome to the Lincoln County Historical Park. What you see here is the result of over 30 years of work by the Lincoln County Historical Society. The Society was founded in 1982 and shortly there after purchased some vacant land on Lumber Street in Lincolnton. Over the next 30 plus years the Society assembled a small community fashioned after the little settlements that you might have seen in rural Lincoln County. Places like Kenna, Woodlawn, Liberty Hill, Goshen, Lovelace, Leathersville where today you drive by and see a sign, and pretty much nothing else. This park helps us remember what life used to be like in rural Georgia, and especially in Lincoln County. Just walk around the park in a clockwise direction and you will hear and see information about the various buildings. We’re glad you have chosen to spend some time with us today and we hope you enjoy your visit. I also want to point out that the pavilion and the May House are available to rent for appropriate events such as weddings, birthdays or family reunions.
