Tour Overview
Volkening Heritage Farm is a living history museum which portrays life on a typical late 19th century Schaumburg farm. Several original farm buildings, along with reconstructed structures, crop fields and pastures, period farm equipment, and livestock help to transport visitors to 1880s Schaumburg. Staff and volunteers dress in period clothing and recreate the daily farm and home life of this area's early German-American residents. Themed activities are often offered on weekends and at specific times. Contact Spring Valley to get updates.
Admission is free. Open hours vary by season. Hours can be found in the Info tab on the Home screen.
