Trevi Fountain // La Dolce Vita

The famous scene from La Dolce Vita, when Sylvia (Anita Ekberg) steps into the fountain and convinces Marcello (Marcello Mastroianni) to do the same, was filmed here at the Trevi Fountain. They chose to film at night so they would not be disturbed by tourists visiting one of the most famous fountains in the world.

Renowned for its massive dome and central oculus, it was originally a temple dedicated to all gods. Piazza della Rotonda // Book Club: The Next Chapter

When the creators of the original Book Club movie asked their four stars where they thought the sequel should be set, they received a quick response. 'Candice and I looked at each other and in unison said, Italy!' recalls Mary Steenburgen in the production notes.

Piazza Navona // Eat Pray Love

Piazza Navona is renowned for its lively atmosphere and three magnificent fountains, including Bernini's Fountain of the Four Rivers. Overlooking the square is the Chiesa di Sant'Agnese in Agone, a 17th-century church designed by Borromini.

Piazza Navona // John Wick: Chapter 2

During the filming of John Wick: Chapter 2 in January 2016, Keanu Reeves walked across the square to film a scene in which he, as John Wick, is on his way to the Antica Libreria Cascianelli. An antiquarian bookstore that really exists and, as you'll soon find out, can be found a stone's throw from here.

Antica Libreria Cascianelli // John Wick: Chapter 2

Like us, John Wick (Keanu Reeves) walks through Piazza Navona and ends up at Largo Febo in John Wick: Chapter 2.

Largo di Febo // Eat Pray Love

When you face Antica Libreria Cascianelli, you only have to turn around for the next location. There, you will see a kind of garden in the middle of the small square of Largo di Febo.

Piazza di San Simeone // Under the Tuscan Sun

In the film Under the Tuscan Sun, a writer impulsively buys a villa in Tuscany to change her life. When Frances (Diane Lane) needs supplies for the renovation, she goes to Rome, where she is followed on the street by three Italian men. To escape this disturbing situation, Frances pretends to know a handsome man, Marcello (Raoul Bova), on a street corner. They eventually end up talking in this square, Piazza di San Simeone.

Piazza di San Simeone // Eat Pray Love

It wasn't just Under the Tuscan Sun that was filmed here. It's the same square where Elizabeth (Julia Roberts) enjoys her pasta in a restaurant and watches a young couple near the fountain in Eat Pray Love.

Ponte Sant’Angelo // Mafia Mamma

Ponte Sant'Angelo is a Roman bridge that connects Castel Sant'Angelo with the other side of the Tiber. It was built in 134 and commissioned by Emperor Hadrian, who wanted a direct connection from the city to his newly built mausoleum, the current Castle of the Angels.

River Tiber // Mission: Impossible III

In the third installment of the Mission: Impossible series, Ethan (Tom Cruise) and his team race down the Tiber River in a speedboat after their successful mission at the Vatican.

Castel Sant’Angelo // Red Notice

When it was built in 139 A.D., Castel Sant'Angelo was the tallest building in the city. Today, the panoramic terrace of Castel Sant'Angelo may not be as high as other scenic points in Rome. Still, it is centrally located in papal Rome and offers close-up views of many domes.
