Pershing Square is a public park located in the heart of LA. The square started here in 1866 as La Plaza Abaja, but it has undergone several name changes. In 1918 it was renamed Pershing Square. That was to honor General John J. Pershing, a World War I hero.

In Ghostbusters the team arrives at the lobby of so-called Sedgewick Hotel in New York. In fact, this scene was filmed here at the famous Millennium Biltmore Hotel. Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Ray Stantz (Dan Aykroyd) and Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis) enter by using the 5th Street entrance.
Citygroup Center // Heat
The scene from the suspenseful thriller Heat at this location begins with Neil McCauley (Robert De Niro) and his team leaving the Far East National Bank after a meticulously planned robbery. As they exit the building, they encounter a police ambush led by Detective Vincent Hanna (Al Pacino). What follows is an intense six-minute shootout, widely regarded as one of the most realistic in cinema history. It all ends at Union Bank Plaza, two blocks up the road, where Vincent Hanna dangerously ends a hostage situation.

The Bradbury Building // Blade Runner
In the movie classic Blade Runner from 1982, the iconic Bradbury Building serves as the eerie residence of a genetic designer in a dystopian 2019 Los Angeles. Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) hunts for replicants in the building. The classical climax of the film, in which Deckard has to fight Roy Batty (Rutger Hauer), also takes place here.
The Second Street Tunnel // Independence Day
The 1,500-foot-long tunnel, constructed between 1916 and 1924, is known for its glossy, white-glazed tiles that create a unique lighting effect. Ironically, it's been described as "the most recognizable city landmark most Americans have never heard of".
