Welcome to the start of the gray ratsnake guided hike! Today, you will be hiking the Halsted Creek Trail and a portion of the Donevan Trail.To get to the trailhead: When you enter Landon Bay, you will want to follow the gravel road to then end, where you will find a red-sided building called Barbara Heck Hall. Roughly 10 meters to the right of Barbara Heck Hall, you will find the trial entrance to the Halsted Creek Trail (photo above). Trail markers for the Halsted Creek Trail are orange.Directions for the hike:There will be two locations on the hike where you will need to make a left-hand turn. At Stop #1, you will find yourself at a "T" junction (Chipmunk Corner). Here, you will make a left-hand turn onto the Donevan Trail. The trail markers for the Donevan trail are blue. At Stop #5, you will find yourself at a second "T" junction (Wolf Corner). Here, you will make another left-hand turn, which will lead you back to Barbara Heck Hall, completing the loop.
