Ruin—sandstone block dwelling56 Townson StreetLot B, DP 343565A structure at 56 Townson Street, Blakehurst, was listed in the 1993 Kogarah Heritage Study. The ruin of a stone cottage, located to the rear of 58 Townson Street, appeared to date from circa 1840. Its prominent position appeared to indicate an early residence on the original grant. The 1943 aerial photo shows an L-shaped structure, possibly a dwelling.
