Wine & Craft Beverages: a Treasures Along the Erie Canal Tour Preview

The Giancarelli Brothers Winery and Distillery is located just 5 miles from the Erie Canal in Weedsport, NY. Take the beautiful country drive down Route 34, turn onto Shortcut Road, and drive for a mile or so while taking in the beautiful countryside. This experience will be an agricultural, rustic one with education provided on the process by the owners themselves.

This Winery is truly a working winery, and recently became a Distillery as well. Many of their wines are made with the fruit grown right on the farm. Giancarelli Brothers are one of the largest producers of blueberries in New York State. Their blueberry wine is one of the favorites.

Aside from a tasting room, you can also pick blueberries and strawberries while in season. The Winery has been around for over 20 years, but the Farm has been producing delicious fruits and vegetables for over 80 years.

in 2022, the Giancarelli Brothers received their license to become a Distillery as well as a Winery. They are working on several brandies and whiskies such as sweet corn bourbon and popcorn bourbon. Stop in for a tasting and see what is new this season!

Lunkenheimer's is a small-batch craft brewery in Weedsport, NY, just a mile or two from the Erie Canal, and just one mile off the NYS Thruway at Exit 40.

They have the flexibility to experiment and offer an ever-changing variety of creative and unusual ales. As community members and Lunkenheimer's love for the village’s history, they chose Weedsport; a direct exit from the east and west corridor, I-90, and the only link between other breweries South, East and West of us. In Weedsport, they have indoor and outdoor seating. They serve wood fired pizzas, and offer a fun and lay back atmosphere.
