Unlock the history of the land of the former Glenthorne Farm through the stories of six characters from Glenthorne-Ityamaiitpinna Yarta’s past.

You’ll meet a Kaurna Meyunna / Miyurna (people) descendant, South Australia’s first police commissioner, a sheep farmer, residents of the No.9 Army Remount Depot, and a CSIRO scientist.

Listen to the audio narrations and bring the characters to life through augmented reality!

To activate the augmented reality character, tap the cube icon in the centre of the image at the bottom of each page, then point your phone at the ground or a flat surface until the character loads.

Headphones or earbuds are recommended for the best listening experience.

Character stories are based on historical records, including personal journals, however creative license has been used to present the stories as first-person narratives.

The Major Thomas O'Halloran character narrative includes language from quotes and documents that reflects the values and norms of the time, but that is considered offensive and derogatory today.
