Unlock the history of the land of the former Glenthorne Farm through the stories of six characters from Glenthorne-Ityamaiitpinna Yarta’s past.

You’ll meet a Kaurna Meyunna / Miyurna (people) descendant, South Australia’s first police commissioner, a sheep farmer, residents of the No.9 Army Remount Depot, and a CSIRO scientist.

Listen to the audio narrations and bring the characters to life through animated videos (augmented reality coming to Android phones soon!).

Headphones or earbuds are recommended for the best listening experience.

Character stories are based on historical records, including personal journals, however creative license has been used to present the stories as first-person narratives.

Please be advised that the tour contains truth telling content about genocide and the treatment of Aboriginal people that can be confronting and disturbing. The Major Thomas O'Halloran character narrative includes language from quotes and documents that reflects the values and norms of the time, but that is considered offensive and derogatory today.
