In the time of Kaldow-inyeri (Creation), ke:ni (fire) was controlled by a powerful man named Kondoli – the Keeper of Fire. Jealousy over Kondoli’s gift led to a betrayal of such magnitude that it set off a series of transformations that changed the world forever. Ramindjeri people were ultimately left with the tools to create ke:ni for ngringkun (warmth), namun (cooking), ngolkuli (light), and performing talkuni (ceremony).
