Tour Overview
At Pedego Edmonton, we're cyclists first and foremost. Our perception as we move through the world is framed with that lense especially when it comes to public art and cultural sites. (Doesn't that sound insightful?!) We believe riding a bike IS an art form! We love connecting with nature and the city in a way that you just can't do from a car. What we do know is a great ride and some fun things to look at along the way.
This tour will take you through Treaty Six Territory home to diverse Indigenous Peoples whose ancestors’ footsteps have marked this territory for centuries, such as Métis’, nêhiyaw, Cree, Dené, Anishinaabe, Saulteaux, Nakota Isga, Nakota Sioux, and Niitsitapi and Blackfoot peoples. Several stops celebrate the Indigenous people who have called this land home since time immemorial.
This approximately 25km ride through the east of Edmonton is primarily on bike paths and multi-use trails, but the odd residential street will pop up here and there. If 25 KM sounds daunting, don't worry, you'll be on a Pedego Ebike!
We will show you some cool things to see along the way, and tell you why we like them from our bike-first perspective. If you're a fan of art and/or Indigenous history and want a more in-depth explanation on the sights, you'll also be linked to what the experts think.
Come, experience a small sliver of Edmonton's extensive bike network, on a Pedego Ebike. Whether you are a long time Edmonton resident or this is your first trip to our fine city, we think there will be something new to learn.
