Tour Overview

Step back in time and experience the eternal glory of Rome on this comprehensive tour.

Your adventure begins at the iconic The Colosseum (Il Colosseo), followed by an immersive walk through the ancient ruins of the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill (Foro Romano e Palatino).

Ascend to the historic Capitoline Hill and Piazza del Campidoglio for panoramic views, then marvel at the grandeur of the Altare della Patria (Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II).

Stroll through the city's romantic centre to toss a coin into the breath-taking Trevi Fountain (Fontana di Trevi) and climb the famous Spanish Steps (Scalinata di Trinità dei Monti).

Continue to the architectural marvel of The Pantheon, enjoy the vibrant street life at Piazza Navona and Campo de' Fiori, and conclude your journey in the picturesque, bohemian neighbourhood of Trastevere, where you can relax and enjoy authentic Roman culture.

Tour Starting Point

The Colosseum is one of the best-connected and most accessible landmarks in Rome.

The Easiest Way to Find It:

Metro

This is, without a doubt, the fastest and most convenient way to arrive.

Metro Station: Colosseo

Lines: Line B (Blue Line)

Walking Time: The station exits open directly onto the piazza in front of the Colosseum. 0-minute walk.

Bus

A huge number of city bus lines stop at or near the Colosseum, making it a major hub.

Bus Stop: Colosseo

Lines: 60, 75, 85, 87, 117, 175, 186, 810, 850, C3 and many others.

Walking Time: The bus stops are on the roads surrounding the piazza. 0-2 minute walk.

Note: Bus 75 and 85 are particularly useful for connecting to Termini Station. Bus 60 is a fast route to the Vatican area.

Tram

There are no tram lines that stop directly at the Colosseum. The nearest tram lines are a 10-15 minute walk away.

Train

The mainline train network arrives at Termini Station, from where the Metro provides the direct connection.

Train Station: Roma Termini

Lines: All mainline high-speed (Frecciarossa, Italo) and regional trains.

Connection: From Termini, take Metro Line B (Blue) directly to the Colosseo station (2 stops).
