The Easiest Way to Find It:

Metro (The Best Option)

The Metro station is named after the neighbourhood and is the primary way to arrive.

Metro Station: Al Fahidi

Line 2 (Green Line): This line runs along the eastern side of Dubai, connecting the airport, Deira, Bur Dubai, and the southern districts.

Bus

A major bus station is located very close to the neighbourhood, providing extensive connections across the city.

Bus Station: Al Ghubaiba Bus Station

Location: This station is a 5-7 minute walk from Al Fahidi, right next to the Al Ghubaiba Metro station (one stop south of Al Fahidi).

Key Bus Routes: Many inter-city and local buses stop here, including routes to other emirates (e.g., Sharjah, Ajman). Key local bus numbers include 21, 28, C07, C19, X25.

Abra (Traditional Boat)

This is not just transport but an essential Dubai experience. The Abra station is right at the edge of the neighbourhood.

Abra Station: Al Fahidi / Bur Dubai

Route: The Abras cross the Dubai Creek to the Deira Old Souk Abra Station.

Cost: It is incredibly cheap (1 AED per person, paid in cash).

Experience: This is the most authentic and scenic way to travel between the Bur Dubai and Deira sides of the creek, offering fantastic views of the city's skyline and the bustling water traffic.

Water Bus / Water Taxi

For a more modern and air-conditioned water transport experience, you can use the Water Bus.

Water Bus Station: Al Ghubaiba Marine Transport Station

Location: Next to Al Ghubaiba Bus Station and Metro station.

Routes: The Water Bus (Route 1) also crosses the creek to Deira (Sabkha Station) and offers a slightly more comfortable ride than the traditional Abra, for a slightly higher fare.
