Tour Starting Point
The Reichstag is very well-connected by Berlin's integrated public transport system (U-Bahn, S-Bahn, Bus, and Tram).
The Easiest Way to Find It:
U-Bahn (Underground Metro)
This is the most direct way to arrive, as a station sits directly under the building.
U-Bahn Station: Bundestag
Line 5 (U5): This line runs east-west across the city, from Hauptbahnhof to Alexanderplatz and on to Hönow. The station exit is right in front of the building.
U-Bahn Station: Brandenburger Tor
Line 5 (U5): The next stop on from Bundestag if you are coming from the east. (5 min walk)
S-Bahn (City Rail)
The closest S-Bahn station is a short walk away and serves many major lines.
S-Bahn Station: Brandenburger Tor.
Lines: S1, S2, S25, S26 (North-South Tunnel)
Walking Time: Approximately 5 minutes. Exit the station and walk north towards the large building with the dome.
Bus
Several bus lines stop directly in front of or very close to the Reichstag, making it an excellent option from many parts of the city.
Bus Stop: Reichstag/Bundestag
Line 100: A major tourist route that connects the Zoo Station with Alexanderplatz, passing many key sights.
Line 200 & 300: Other key routes crossing the city centre.
Line TXL: Formerly the airport express bus, now a regular city line connecting Tegel (now closed, but the route remains useful) with the main station and Alexanderplatz.
Night Bus: N5 and N40 also serve this stop.
Tram
Trams primarily serve the area around the main station.
Tram Stop: Hauptbahnhof
Lines: M5, M8, M10, M85
Walking Time: Approximately 10 minutes from the tram stop at the main station.
