1 Day : Loch Lomond, Stirling Castle and The Kelpies Preview

You can have some fun taking photos here, you can make it look like you are giving the kelpies a scratch on the nose or give him a kiss.

The visitor centre has a cafe, gift shop, toilets and an exhibit about the area.

Take a walk down to Loch Lomond or grab a coffee from St Mocha or the Oak Tree Inn.

If you have prebooked to go into Stirling Castle, follow your driver into the castle and wait in the courtyard while they collect tickets. Once you have received your tickets you can then enter castle and explore at your own pace.

If you have not prebooked to go in but would like to do so now, you buy entry at the ticket office.

If you are not going into Stirling Castle, this is your free time to explore Stirling City.

When leaving the castle only use the steps DO NOT USE THE ROAD

Lunch Options

There is a cafe within the Castle itself and the Portcullis at the bottom of the steps. In the city centre there are restaurants such as Cafe Pompeii, Wee Wolf Bistro, Vera and Crossed Peels.

If you are venturing into the city, remember it is a steep walk back to the castle.
