Mural Wall at Alethia Tanner Park

Experience a living, ever-changing outdoor art gallery, created by some of the DMV’s most exciting muralists. Every September, the NoMa BID holds the NoMa in Color Mural Festival, now in its 10th year, bringing local artists together to turn the 900-ft WMATA-owned wall at Alethia Tanner Park into a kaleidoscope of color, culture, and community. Each mural is inspired by the people, spirit, and stories of the neighborhood, and remains on the wall for two years before being repainted.

Take this walk, conveniently located along the Metropolitan Branch Trail (MBT), to see nearly three dozen community-inspired artworks in one of DC’s most active and well-loved parks.
