Plus, you can hop on the Greeneway trail right from the park.The Riverview Park Activities Center is action packed. This massive building, which was constructed in 1994 and expanded in 2018, spans a whopping 120,000 square feet. Situated in the midst of the 149-acre Riverview Park, this center is where the magic happens.

Welcome to Billie’s Butterfly Garden, a vibrant oasis dedicated to the memory of the amazing Billie Vaughn. Billie was a Greeneway enthusiast, clocking in over 75,000 miles. She had a passion for bright colors, birds, butterflies, and helping others through her nursing career and charity work. The City of North Augusta designed this garden envisioning people of all ages and walks of life enjoying the beauty of the flowers, plants, and brilliantly colored butterflies. Thanks to the collaborative efforts of the City of North Augusta, Friends of the Greeneway (FROG), Carolina Hills Garden Club, Palmetto Garden Club, Terrace Garden Club, and Billie’s family and friends, this garden is a true labor of love. So, next time you’re out for a stroll with your furry friends, be sure to swing by this stunning attraction and take in the beauty that is Billie’s Butterfly Garden.
