Latrice Royale
Internationally famous, vivacious, and proud, Latrice Royale was born on a Halloween night dressed as Wanda from In Living Color at the Copa in Fort Lauderdale. Raised Timothy Wilcots in Compton, California, Latrice has lived in South Florida since 1992. Even still with her global fame, Latrice holds her South Florida beginnings dear to her heart. Latrice entertained and enchanted many South Florida venues in the 1990s and early 2000s, such as the Coliseum, the Sea Monster, the Palace Bar, and the Copa in Fort Lauderdale.
Daisy Deadpetals
Three words can be used to describe Daisy Deadpetals are creativity, humor, and generosity. Having been raised in upstate New York, where she had cows for neighbors and a lake for a backyard, moving to Miami in the early 1990s was a figurative breath of fresh air. South Beach’s drag dinner shows, dance parties, and gay nightlife marked her rebirth from Kenny Calabria, to Daisy Deadpetals. She has since been an active and leading participant in South Florida drag culture for over 25 years.
Cathy Craig
Cathy Craig has delighted South Florida with her wit and charm for over 45 years. Born William Lewis and originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Cathy has been in South Florida since 1984. Like many others, Cathy came for the weather and stayed for the friends. Cathy’s career in female impersonation began in her Cleveland, where she was invited by Treva Trash to enter a May Day Newcomers Show. Cathy’s drag career was launched. In 46 years of performing, Cathy has never met another female impersonator called “Cathy”. Originally going by the name “Lorraine”, Cathy was promptly told by Treva Trash the name did not match her look. She was christened “Cathy” instead. Cathy took the last name, “Craig”, after Dr. Craig on General Hospital.
Nikki Adams
A selfless community leader and entertainment legend, Nikki Adams has graced the stage for over 40 years. Raised in the small town of Jennerstown, Pennsylvania, Nikki moved south to Florida at the age of 18. It was a performance by Dana Manchester that introduced Nikki to what would become her passion and life. Nikki first performed at TB (Thunderbuns), a small bar on Dixie Highway, to the tune of Liza Minnelli’s “Ring Them Bells”.
Tiffany Arieagus
Tiffany Arieagus radiates Southern beauty and charm. As a young girl, born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, Tiffany participated in civil rights marches alongside her mother, Ma Dear. It was during this time Tiffany’s sense of social justice and cultural awareness arose. Values Tiffany’s mother continued to instill throughout her life, values which Tiffany continues to carry. Presenting female from a young age, and with her mother’s and family’s acceptance, Tiffany grew with a confidence which has carried her through life. Transitioning in high school, Tiffany graduated as herself and was accepted to the University of South Alabama.
Electra
With quick-witted banter, a vast array of impressions and impressive talent, Electra’s job is entertainment. Originally from Virginia Beach, VA, Electra, also known as James Buff, has over 40 years’ worth of experience in multiple facets of the entertainment industry. Performing in South Florida since the early 1990s, Electra has continued to inspire with a dedicated work ethic and humor. Electra received her Master of Fine Arts degree from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and proceeded to enthrall audiences with costume designs for Broadway during the 1980s and 1990s. Corporations such as Nabisco and Burger King also utilized Electra’s talent for their commercials.
