Murray House

Old Stanley Police Station

Old Stanley Police Station​Located at No. 88, Stanley Villae Road​It was built in 1859.​It is one of the six earliest police stations and the only one preserved today.​Changing of use​->Maintain the local public security ​-> The Japanese army requisitioned it ​-> In 1974, the police station moved out of it​->From 1993 to 2022, this station was activated to be different purposes like runnig supermar​Architectural style​Fusion of East and West​There are western vaulted ceilings, long columns and Chinese tiled roofs​Preserve artifacts of historical value like fireplaces​​Current Old stanley police station​From 2002 to 2022, Wellcome and ParknShop successively rented it to be a supermarket​Some people think that it successfully revitalizes this vacant cultural relic​Some people think that it depreciated the value of cultural relics​

School house of St Stephen's college​

Built in 1903​Before the Japanese invasion ,the School House was turned into an emergency military hospital by the Hong Kong Government shortly ​The troops were out of control and about 150-200 troops broke into the hospital (School House) and start the "St. Stephen's College Massacre"​ 56 British and Canadian soldiers who are still wounded in their beds were killed, as well as some medical and College staff.During the Japanese occupation from 1941 to 1945, the College was turned into an Internment Camp.​About one thousand internees were housed in St. Stephen's College.​The School house is now use for the classroom and the student's quarters to resume its role in education and the assembly hall was reconstructed into a library​

Stanley Military Cemetery

It was built on the foundation of Hong Kong at 1840 century.​Built and managed by commonwealth war graves commission.​One of the earliest military cemetery in Hong Kong.​Location: Stanley Wong Ma Kok RoadIn 1942, Japan army started encroachment on Hong Kong. ​The major battlefield was held on Hong Kong island, especially in Stanley. ​Because there were many dead bodies during the battle and massacre, Stanley military cemetery reopened for the burial people. ​There are two monuments to mourn the people who died from 1941 to 1945. ​One records the year, and one records the bible scripture. Major function before the battle of Hong Kong: ​Burial British Forces Overseas Hong Kong and its kinship ​The cemetery closed and reopened again because of the battle of Hong Kong ​In the reopening of 1942, the cemetery for: ​Bury the people who sacrifice in the war, which include the victims, prisoners of war, royal Hong Kong regiment & British army aid group.
