Park Island Housing Estate

Developed by the Sun Hung Kai Properties, this Housing Estate consists of 31 towers and houses approximately 15,000 residents. It was developed between 2002 and 2006 as part of the Ma Wan Development joint venture project.

Pak Wan Tin Hau Temple

A hidden temple that you can reach by going down a staircase on the road. Legend has it that the temple was originally built by a local pirate and navy colonel Cheung Po Tsai to protect the locals.

Pak Wan Beach

Take the staircase further down the Tin Hau Temple to reach this scenic beach. In the backdrop of the crystal clear water you will see dozens of high rise buildings.Plus point: This beach is also good for fishing!

Tin Liu Village

Despite new villages being built over this 250 year-old village, this place has by no means lost its charm! Explore the peaceful streets of this village to tap into another part of Hong Kong!

Chan’s Ancestral Hall

Located in the Tin Liu village, the Chan's Ancestral Hall is a place where geneaologies of the Chan's family can be found. Visit this site to learn more about the history of some of Ma Wan's very first inhabitants!

Ma Wan Park Nature Garden

This huge park, which a substantial part of the island, houses a rainbow wall, a garden, a heritage centre and an adventure garden.

Ma Wan Alliance Church

This church is the representative of the Christian and Missionary Alliance. The Church is actively involved in organising various events in Ma Wan

Solar Tower

Visit this tower to witness the sun's surface activity in real time, through one of the largest professional vacuum solar telescopes in the world! The tower is open to the public and exhibits 3D astronomy documentaries, perfect for visitors of all ages!

Heritage Centre

The Heritage Centre, located in the Ma Wan Park Nature Garden showcases the history of the island from the Neolithic era up until the present. You can also see two brick kiln in the centre, one which dates back to the Qing Dynasty and the other which dates back to the Tang Dynasty!

Tam Shui Wan

Located north of the old village, you will be able to see countless fishing rafts which make up a vibrant fish farming community

Kam Shui Mun Tin Hau Temple

Located at the top of an off-map small trail, this Tin Hai Temple is a Grade III historic building selected by Hong Kong's Antiquities and Monuments Office.

Abandoned Fishing Town

Off the Ma Wan Rural Committee Road, visit this vacated village which was established in 1965. You can even look inside some of these abandoned houses!

Ma Wan Tung Wan Beach

The Ma Wan Tung Wan Beach is by far the most popular destination for people who visit Ma Wan. It is a huge beach with spectacular views of the Tsing Ma Bridge and the Ting Kau Bridge. The beach also has a life sized Noah's Ark exhibition.
