Tour Overview

Nine places and points of interest to reflect on topics provided by Furman faculty.

The Furman Reflective Walk celebrates the 20th Anniversary of the Cothran Center for Vocational Reflection. Over the past two decades, the Cothran Center has expanded to become an integral resource supporting many aspects of the Furman Advantage; including reflection efforts, student pathways, community connections and conversations, and increased support for One Furman throughout the Upstate and across the alumni family. This engaging tour of campus sights encourages participants to reflect on their own sense of meaning and purpose while enjoying the reflections, memories, and descriptions of the significance of each location provided by members of the Furman community.

The tour begins at the labyrinth located on the north side of Daniel Chapel, continues across campus and around the lake, with the final point being the Thoreau Cabin.

Special thanks to the contributors Lindley (Sharp) Curtis, Dr. Elaine Nocks, Dr. Susan D'Amato, Dr. Idella Glenn, Dr. Mark Stone, Dr. James B.
