The name is originally come form the name of the Hong Kong twelfth governor- Sir Henry Arthur Blake.

Murray House

The name is originally cone form the officer quarters of the Nurrray Barracks. Murray House was orinally built in Hong Kong ISlant and it moveed to Stanley at 1982. During Japanese occupation, Murray House was used as the command centre for Japanese. After WW2, this buliing was used as the office of the government. Nowadays, this building is used as restaurants and shop.

old Stanley police station

Built-in 1869, it’s the oldest existing police building in Hong Kong and was also listed as a declared monument in 1983. Back to the time when Hong Kong was just ceded to the British, law and order is very poor in Stanley and is notorious for being frequented by pirates. In the light of this situation, the Old Stanley Police Station was built and took the responsibility of maintaining local social stability. Stanley Post Office

It was built in 1937 and is the oldest post office in Hong Kong. Although it has only one floor and a small area, it is a time capsule of the postal history. Inside this post office, you can see the original hand-operated stamp vending machine and the cast iron mailbox with the mark of King George 6. The post office structure and internal buildings you see today already existed when it was first built in 1937. Chapel (St. Stephen College)

It was built in 1950 and is located at the highest point of the school. It was opened by Governor Ho Minghua on March 4, 1950. The chapel was built to commemorate those who died at St. Stephen’s College (which was part of the Stanley Detention Camp) during the Japanese Occupation. The stained glass on the door of the chapel was donated by the Qu family in 1995 and depicts the hardships of the detention camp during the Japanese occupation. Inside the chapel are stained glass with a portrait of Saint Stephen and a stele from the Chapel of St. Barbara commemorating the soldiers killed in the Royal Artillery Regiment and the sinking of the Lisbon Maru during the Hong Kong Defense War.The chapel has been listed as a third-class historical building on January 22, 2010
