Kowloon park (Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre) (香港文物探知館)
We now see Kowloon park as a peaceful recreational site, but, during the 1960s, it was the site of Whitfield barracks of the British army and the former battery.Later on, redevelopment took place in 1970, and it took 35 years for the park to be redeveloped as the way we see it today.The park is managed by the the Leisure and Cultural services department.In order to fulfill both purpose of recreation and inherit local history and culture,different exhibitions are held in the park.Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre is one of a significant exhibition sites.The centre aims to exhibit different historical relics and the latest archaeological research.It is free in charge for visiting the exhibition so you all are encouraged to visit the site to know more about the history.

The 1881 heritage is the Former Marine Police Headquarters (1880’s to 1996)For the design of the heritage,the Victorian architecture has been taken of the building,which is Rich colonial characteristic.In 1994, all the buildings were declared monuments under the Antiquities and Monuments Ordinance (except for Main Block of the Old Kowloon Fire Station).The 1881 heritage has become an Integration of the historical side and the modern side under the change of time.In the Historical side: Main Building, Stable Block, Time Ball Tower, Old Kowloon Fire Station and Fire Station Accommodation Block.-The bomb shelter underneath the site à passageway leading to the Heritage Hall à offer visitors a glimpse of what the old bomb shelter looked likeIn the Modern side: Luxury Shops can be found which attract tourist visit the site and buy the goods they want.
Hong Kong Clock Tower
The tower is one of the collective memories of Hong Kong.It has a long history and closely related to life of lots of HongKongers.Tower was built at 1915 with Kowloon Train Station.It is 44 meters tall and composed of red rock and granite.The tower is covered with an octagonal roof and 7 meters height lighting rod.The manufacturer producing the clock tower is same with the Big Ben in London.The tower worked since 22 Mar 1921.However,under the urban development, Kowloon Train Station replaced in Hung Hom though there are many opposition from citizens.The Tower has become a declared monument since 1990.And become a famous landmark after the period of colonial rule.
Star Ferry
The star Ferry is another special collective memories of HongKongers and the history of it is always embedded in the mind of HongKongers .Star ferry was established since 1880.The screw wooden-hulled boat brought by Grant Smith from England.It is an important transportation hub which facilitate people cross the harbour with low cost and convenient way.For the commercial activities,there are a few retail shops at the Pier E.g newsstands, ice cream truck (mobile softee)For the colonial architecture,the Star Ferry is a landmark giving collective memory to Hong Kongers.
