Wing On Street

The street right next to Tai O Bus Terminus and Ferry Pier. Upon arrival, you can get refreshments like street food and drinks from stalls on the street before you continue on. Fuk Hing Hong is one of the shop we would recommend you, which is notable for having a large variety of street food, even once interviewed by the television.

Dolphin Tour

From here, embark on a 25-minute ship ride to watch white dolphins. Boat captains will be next to the Blue Bridge waiting for tourists who are interested. You will be able to see the endangered species if you are lucky!

Sun Ki Bridge

A red coloured bridge with fishing net on both its railings. Surrounding by pang uk, its where you can get the best view of the unique Tanka settlements of Tai O!

Yeung Hau Temple

One of the oldest, and most prestigous temples of Tai O, with a history dating back to 17th century. It is a place to worship Yeung Hau, a minister of Song Dynasty. Currently listed as a declared monument.

Tai O Crossing Boat Restaurant

A dining place built on a pang uk (stiilt house). Not only are traditional Tanka dishes offered by the locals, but also can you enjoy the view of boats crossing the water channel.

Tai O Fei Mao Li

A community center for tourists and cats opened in 2012, now a souvenir shop and a cat cafe, it's definitely a must-go spot for cat lovers. Otherwise, enjoying the galleries of artwork on display within the place would also make your stay worth it.

Tai O Heritage Hotel

Also known as Old Tai O Police Station, it is a theme boutique hotel with colonial architecture. On one hand, the grand, modern features of the hotel is seen; yet hints of its history is still present, through the architecture and the heritage museum. It shows how both the past and the present managed to coexist here in harmony.

Tai O Public Pier

The pier where the afternoon section of the Tanka wedding on water takes place. Come visit on Nov 22 to witness the occasion!

Kat Hing Street

As the tour reaches its end, we will revisit Kat Hing Street for some more local treats. First are the freshly-baked sugar donuts, then is the shrimp paste which you can bring home as a souvenir. Both products are exclusive to Tai O, and popular among visitors, so be prepared to queue a while to get them!

Tai O Blue Bridge

Before you go, make sure you get a view of the sunset at the bridge. With the stilt houses on both sides, could this be any more magnificent?
