Talahi Lodge

Talahi Lodge was built in 1926 as the main building for a women's camp. The building is now the site of education programs that happen at The Nature Institute.

Mississippi Sanctuary - Historic House

This house, built in the Frank Lloyd Wright style sits at the edge of the bluff overlooking the Mississippi River. Walk around front to check out the view.

Mississippi Sanctuary

This property was owned by James and Aune Nelson. James Nelson was an avid traveler and brought trees from all over the world to plant on his property. As you follow the driveway, you will see the arboretum he created. Aune Nelson was a huge supporter of getting kids outside in nature. She was one of the first supporters of TNI's Discovery Day Camp which started in 1982.
