Plant Sumner is very similar in style to houses built by the railroad magnate Henry Plant. He built the luxury hotel, the Belleview and some believe Plant’s supervisors, either from the railroad or the hotel, lived in the house. The building dates to the mid 1890s and few homes on the Pinellas Peninsula could then boast the modern conveniences of this otherwise modest middle class home. This seven-room home had electricity, running water and an elaborate bathroom. It received running water from the hotel’s waterworks, which predated Clearwater’s city water system

One of the most interesting and majestic examples of turn-of-the-century Victorian style architecture in the area. Built in 1907, the home contains 13 rooms completely furnished with artifacts from the period. At one time, this historic building was used as a private club, a tea room, a boarding house, and even a parsonage!

Safety Harbor Church
This charming little church was built in 1905 by the congregation and contains the original pulpit and altar rail. The church has been twice hit by hurricanes, but survived, and now rests secure in the village where it is still used occasionally for weddings.
