Old Red Museum

At the Old Red Museum, there’s always something new to discover. The galleries on the second floor give a tour of Dallas County history from prehistory to present day, with Early Years, Trading Center, Big “D” and World Crossroads offering exhibits featuring elements that range from fossils and war weapons to sports paraphernalia and Dallas County’s contribution to popular culture. Plus, our first floor galleries continually present new, exciting exhibits which transition several times per year.

Dealey Plaza

Dealey Plaza is a city park in the West End district of downtown Dallas, Texas. It is sometimes called the "birthplace of Dallas". It also was the location of the assassination of United States President John F. Kennedy, on November 22, 1963; 30 minutes after the shooting, Kennedy died at Parkland Memorial Hospital.

Grassy Knoll

Small green space marking the spot where John F. Kennedy was fatally shot in 1963. The grassy knoll is a small, sloping hill inside the plaza that became well known following the assasination of United States President John F. Kennedy. The knoll was above Kennedy and to his right (west and north) during the assassination on November 22, 1963.This north grassy knoll is adjacent by the former Texas School Book Depository building along the Elm Street abutment side street to the northeast, Elm Street, and a sidewalk to the south, a parking lot to the north and east and a railroad bridge atop the triple underpass convergence of Commerce, Main and Elm streets to the west.

Dallas County Administration Building / Texas School Book Depository - 6th Floor Museum

The Texas School Book Depository, now known as the Dallas County Administration Building, is a seven-floor building facing Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas. The building was Lee Harvey Oswald's vantage point in his assassination of United States President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963.

Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum

The Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum is a history education museum in Dallas, Texas in the historic West End at the southeast corner of N. Houston Street and Ross Avenue. The mission of the Museum is to teach the history of the Holocaust and advance human rights to combat prejudice, hatred, and indifference.
