Tour Overview
A walking tour of Stoneybatter, shedding light on the areas hidden past through in-conversation audio samples collected by artist Louis Haugh.
One Hour Archive is a digital guided walking tour of Stoneybatter, made in collaboration with Aughrim Court’s Tuesday Club and An Síol (a community development project in Stoneybatter). Using audio and visual material gathered over the past 12 months of engagement, the tour presents to the public the voices of local residents born and bred in
Stoneybatter, an area of prolific gentrification. Highlighting areas of interest, amusement and long lost memories, the tour is designed to bridge the old and new, shedding a succinctly personal light on Stoneybatter’s rich and diverse history.
This project is accompanied by a limited edition publication One Hour Archive, available for free from An Síol on Manor Street, with accompanying text Pattern Book by Nathan O'Donnell.
This project is part of Grangegorman Public Art’s ‘…the lives we live’ programme and is also supported by Fingal County Council.
For best listening experience please use headphones.
Please use extreme caution when accessing this tour. Stoneybatter is a busy urban centre with high volumes of traffic. Use pedestrian crossings when progressing through the tour. Users partake in this tour at their own risk.
