Cathedral Plaza

The buildings to the left and right are now the Windgate Visual Art Buildings, but orginally they housed the Library and Science Department. Together with the Cathedral of the Ozarks, they represent JBU’s threefold mission of Head, Heart, Hand. Situated in front of the Cathedral of the Ozarks, the “Living Water” fountain features three bowls that symbolize the Trinity and echo the mission of JBU. The words of John 7:37-38 wrap the fountain: “Jesus stood and cried out, saying, ‘If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. Mayfield

Mayfield Hall is an all-women's two story housing facility built in a U-shape. The three wings have been affectionately dubbed Old, Middle and New. In the center of the "U" rests a beautiful courtyard in which many activities are hosted throughout the year. Mayfield has the capacity to house 250 women. All three wings have two floors, each containing approximately 20 rooms with one large centrally located bathroom. All the rooms, 134 in total (with the exception of seven single rooms), are double occupancy.Each room in Mayfield is furnished with: two beds, two desks with chairs, two dressers, and closet space. Each room in the Old and Middle wings has a sink and there are built-in bookshelves in every room in the dorm. All joined by a spacious lobby looking out toward the courtyard.Focused on refreshing fellowship and energetic community, Mayfield is an great place to enjoy college life.360 Mayfield Room

J. Alvin Brown Hall

Rather than traditional long hall corridors, J. Alvin has 14 suites, each consisting of six to eight rooms and a community bathroom located around a common "living room" area. This structure creates an excellent dynamic for building friendships. In total, J.Alvin houses 204 male students. All rooms, with the exception of eight singles and 18 triples, are double occupancy.J. Alvin is known for its large multi-purpose atrium that hosts university events throughout the year, and its very own three story climbing wall!The residence hall also has two computer labs, a study room, several study areas with white boards, a t.v. lounge/area, a large projector and screen to watch the big game, a kitchen and dining area, a prayer room, a private weight room where residents can work-out and a four-level elevator. Each room in J.Alvin is furnished with: two beds, two desks with chairs, two dressers, and closet space.As the only all-male hall on-campus, your experience in J.
