This walk is a more challenging track than the direct route up to the vineyard, and more scenic, following around the coast.
Location
This walk starts at the Matiatia ferry terminal, one of the key arrival points for Waiheke Island visitors.
Track Summary
Half of the walk is on tracks around the coast, following the headlands. Mostly dirt tracks, some steps and moderate inclines which can be slippery and muddy after rain. The second part of the walk is along Nick Johnston Drive, a quiet sealed road.
Dogs allowed on lead.
