Tour Overview
The Medal of Honor is the highest award for valor that can be bestowed upon an individual serving in the armed services of the United States. It is awarded to service members who distinguish themselves “conspicuously by gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of [their] life above and beyond the call of duty.” This tour contains a selection of Medal of Honor recipients buried or memorialized in the southern section of Arlington National Cemetery.
Note: The Medal of Honor walking tours are organized geographically. Consider also checking out the Medal of Honor - North and Medal of Honor - Central tours as well.
