Tour Overview
Experience Art Ave and explore 13 large-scale, museum-quality sculptures and a set of four WINDOWS artworks . All within three-blocks, this self-guided Art Ave tour stretches north of Lafayette Square on the 800 block of Connecticut Avenue, continues through Farragut Square, and extends along the entire 1000 block of Connecticut Avenue NW.
Each vivid artwork serves as a beacon to the next, inviting a continued journey that summons imagination, interaction, and discovery within the Golden Triangle. The window artworks displayed on ground floor storefronts pull the surrounding buildings into the experience, inviting you into a grand avenue of art. The northern portion of Art Ave hits a playful note with oversized, crank powered music notes and instruments you can play yourself.
Many of the sculptures are illuminated at night, creating an awe-inspiring experience to enjoy at any hour. We hope you enjoy these artworks and please be sure to stay aware of your surroundings while exploring, follow traffic laws, and be cautious as you make your away around Art Ave.
