Tour Overview
Throughout their history, the Marines have built a reputation for being tenacious in battle. As America’s expeditionary force in readiness since 1775, the Marines are forward deployed to fight the nation’s land, sea and air battles, as well as providing detachments to U.S. embassies. Part of the Corps’ current mission also entails conducting search and rescue missions and recovery operations in the wake of natural disasters.
On this walking tour, you’ll be introduced to individuals who exemplified the Marines’ core values of honor, courage and commitment. They include men and women who changed the historical trajectory of the Corps, alongside enlisted Marines and officers who served with unparalleled courage in some of the Marines’ most famous actions.
